As long as we need ID's to separate Quotes, why not get extra mileage out of the numbers . . . have them do something, beyond just acting sequential. The number 1106-00003 in the window below tells us that this was the third Quote issued in November of 2006. Number 0107-00001 would be the first Quote written in January of 2007. Couldn't be more simple.
