Overview
This topic describes how to add or update PaperShop paper. Only three factors distinguish PaperShop paper from buy-as-needed paper:
| • | The vendor for PaperShop paper is always your primary vendor, the first record in the Morning Flight vendor file. For buy-as-needed paper, you can assign a different vendor to each item. |
| • | The PaperShop file is set up to receive data in bulk, downloaded from your vendor's web site. A download utility for XPEDX paper is on the way. By contrast, the buy-as-needed file is designed to be loaded one item at a time. Both files are delivered empty. |
| • | The PaperShop file is disposable, a throwaway, to be used the same way you use a phone directory. Yes, there are update facilities, but they're there just for convenience. The buy-as-needed file, on the other hand, is dynamic and persistent, designed to be maintained and updated. |
Those are the differences. In all other respects, the two categories are identical, including how you add and update.

Caveats
There are a few. First and foremost, prices downloaded from an American vendor are valid only in the United States. They're of little use elsewhere.*
Second, there are no price guaranties, either expressed or implied. Prices may change - on a dime - without notice! Need to be sure? Call your local paper company representative.
Third, before you add or update paper here, know that when you download and install the latest batch of updates from the vendor, your own entries will be overwritten by the new data. That means changes, additions, everything. The new file is a replacement, not an add-on.
If you want to preserve a specific paper item, don't save it in the PaperShop file. Save it in your buy-as-needed file instead. |
*Printing Paper Distributors
The name of the PaperShop file generated by Morning Flight is SVSFile.TPS, located in the application directory (C:\Program Files\PrintFire\MorningFlight by default). Here is how you can generate and distribute to Morning Flight users a PaperShop file of your own:

| 1. | Download and install the Free Edition of Morning Flight. |
| 2. | Open the program. |
| 3. | Select File > Update PaperShop Paper. |
| 4. |
