Overview

 

We need ID numbers to separate quotes, so why not get extra mileage out of the digits ... have them tell us something instead of just acting sequential. The number 1106-00003 in the window below says this was the third quote issued in November of 2006 (11/06). Number 0107-00001 would be the first quote written in January of 2007.

Couldn't be more simple.

What do the letters M, B, and C stand for? Merchandise, booklets, and booklet contents. In the example below, 0909-0002B is a booklet for the Pretzel Shop. 0909-0012C and 0909-0014C are its cover and contents.
