Downloading
Click the download button on the PrintFire web site, then follow the instructions on the screen. If you're using a dial-up connection and the download keeps getting interrupted, click here.

Installing
| 1. | Close all programs. |
| 2. | If you elected to save rather than run the setup file, go to the directory into which you saved the download. Look for an application called DFSetupS.exe. Double-click it, then follow the instructions on the screen. The setup program will install Morning Flight into the path of your choice. The suggested path is C:\Program Files\PrintFire\MorningFlight. An uninstall option is added to the Control Panel, but no files are changed in your Windows System directory. |
Installing for Windows 7 and Vista
Morning Flight programs will run under Windows 7 and Vista without modification, provided there is only one user per machine. If you expect to set up multiple user accounts on the same computer, remove "Program Files" from the default path and install Morning Flight into
C:\PrintFire\MorningFlight instead of C:\Program Files\PrintFire\MorningFlight.
That will prevent the operating system from creating separate data files for each user. You may also need to install Morning Flight as Administrator. Right-click on DFSetupS.exe, then select "Run as administrator" from the pop-up menu.
Launching the Program
When Morning Flight loads for the first time, it will take from three to five minutes to create the data files. During that time you'll see only the main menu bar and the Windows hour glass icon. Please be patient. Subsequent loads will take just seconds.
| 1. | Double-click the Morning Flight Demo shortcut on your computer's desktop. |
| 2. | If you've deleted the shortcut, click start > All Programs > PrintFire. |
| 3. | Right-click Morning Flight Demo. |
| 4. | Select Send to > Desktop (create shortcut). |
The Pre-Launch Interview
The pre-launch interview defines your shop's profile. Here is where Morning Flight collects the information it needs to configure itself to your company's capabilities. All but one of the profile settings can easily be changed after the interview. It's just more convenient to do it during pre-launch. The exception is your currency exchange rate.

If your shop is located outside of the United States, the setting you want to get right during the interview is the rate of your currency exchange. It's the only pre-launch setting that cannot be reset in a few simple steps. To revert back to U.S. Dollar prices you'll need to later adjust all paper prices and hourly rates.

Uninstalling
Use the "Add Or Remove Program" utility in the Control Panel of MS Windows to uninstall the program.
![]()
All Morning Flight editions use a common set of data files. Consequently, uninstalling one of the editions will remove only the program itself from the installation directory, not the generated data files. This also serves to protect your data in case of an accidental uninstall. To remove all traces of Morning Flight from your computer, delete the sub-directory "PrintFire\Morning Flight" from your "Program Files" directory after you've uninstalled each edition.
Caution: Deletion of the sub-directory is irreversible once the Windows Recycle Bin has been emptied.
Upgrading
Before you upgrade, back up your MorningFlight data files (all files with the extension .TPS). To find out where those files are located, see the chapter on Backing up your Data. Once those files are safe, install the new version into your active Morning Flight folder, over the existing .TPS files. If any file needs updating, Morning Flight will automatically convert it and transfer your data.
