Step by Step

1.ButtonPricerFrom the main menu, click the Quote button.

2.Click the Quantities button or press F12.

3.Enter 1,000, 2,500, and 5,000, then click OK.

4.Left-click the first of the three quantity columns. That will make 1,000 the quantity for which prices are displayed in the postpress entry window.

5.Click the F7 button.

6.ButtonLockedSelect Fold, then change the fold quantity to 500. You'll see the key turn red. That tells us that we have a Locked Quantity. The customer wants only 500 sheets folded, the rest delivered flat.

7.Click the Perf/Score tab, then select Straight. If scoring is unavailable, it means we're printing on too thin a paper, less than cover-weight.

8.Click the Laminate/Number/Pad tab, then check Pad. We'll stay with the default of 20 pads, 50 sheets per pad, set for the 1,000 quantity.

ANote
Because we added padding, we can no longer have folding, that's now gone from the price display. Morning Flight knows you can't pad and fold at the same time. The program's automation, for the most part, does its work quietly and behind the scenes. This is one of the few times where it operates out in the open.

9.Click the Stamp tab. Select Foilstamp and new 4x5" Die, then click OK.

ANote
If the checkbox for a new die is unavailable, it means the job is being reprinted without changes.

In the quote window, click the Postpress row in the gray panel to double-check your entries. If an icon is shown in red, the quantity for that operation is locked. Here, only part of the run is being folded.
